René Magritte's Birthday

Today's Magritte's b-day, as noted by Google's logo today, so I thouhgt I would pop this one up. I actually have a print of it in my office at home and have seen some other works of his while I was in Belgium. (Le Magie Noir)

This particular painting was popularized most recently by the Thomas Crown Affair.

The Son of Man

The Denver Who?

That's right, the 2 - 8 Raiders laid a beating on the Denver Broncos. The nation finally woke up and scored some offensive touchdowns. Darren McFadden, the much hyped RB and JaMarcus Russell, the much hyped QB, finally showed up and earned their salary. About freakin' time.

Let's see if the 3 - 8 Raiders can get to the magic number four.

Quantum of Solace

Went and saw Quantum of Solace last night; Not bad I suppose. Not nearly as good as Casino Royale. The one redeaming feature was Olga Kurylenko, damn is she sexy. I mean Bond Girls are always hot, but she's like a breath of fresh air in the rank of Bond Girls. I'm not sure what that means, but I'm sticking with it.

Paris 2009

I was checking out flights today and was shocked at the increase in fares! I've been trying to make an annual trip to Paris for the past few years and to my dismay the price has nearly doubled this year! We're talking $1300 bucks round trip, via Air Canada, which is twice what it was last year. Madness. I'll hold out for a few more weeks and see if the price drops after our government is over thrown by the separatists.
